Blackberry Almond Butter Sandwich

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4cup blackberries
  • 1teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2slices 100-percent whole wheat bread, lightly toasted
  • 2tablespoons natural almond butter
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a bowl, mash blackberries lightly with a fork. Stir in chia seeds.
  2. Optional: Cover and refrigerate blackberry-chia mixture for up to 4 days for a thick, jamlike consistency.
  3. Assemble sandwich with blackberry mixture over one slice of bread and almond butter over other slice.
